Mayne Aspirin tablets are an immediate-release low-dose form of aspirin indicated for inhibition of platelet aggregation to help prevent heart attack and stroke in patients with known cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.

Mayne Aspirin 100mg tablets are aspecialised formulation of aspirin designed to prevent blood platelets from sticking together and to reduce the chance of a blood clot forming. These blood clots could block an artery and therefore reduce or stop blood flow. This is especially important as we grow older, because our arteries can become narrower with fatty cholesterol and plaque build-up on the artery walls. Mayne Aspirin tablets help to keep your blood flowing freely.

Directions for Use

Adults - Take one tablet daily with food or a large glass of water. Do not crush or chew.

Warnings

• Do not use in the presence of asthma, a stomach ulcer, if you are pregnant or if you are taking anticoagulant medication (unless advised by your Doctor).
• Do not take if you are allergic to aspirin. Warning: Therapy should cease one week prior to surgery due to increase in bleeding time.
