General Product Description
Pariet is used for the symptomatic relief of heartburn and stomach acid, due to gastro-oesophageal reflux caused by "washing back" of food and acid from the stomach into the food pipe, also known as the oesophagus.
This reflux can cause a burning sensation in the chest, rising up to the throat, also known as heartburn. Pariet works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach makes to give relief from the symptoms. Your food will still be digested in the same way.
This medication will start to suppress the acid within a few hours; however, it will not give instant symptom relief. You may need to take Pariet 10mg for a few days before experiencing the full effect
Directions for Use
Adults: Swallow 1 tablet whole with water with or without food.
Do not crush or chew the tablet. Not intended for immediate relief. It may take a few days to achieve maximum results.

Always read and follow the directions for use. Keep out of Reach of Children. Incorrect use can be harmful. . Consult your doctor if symptoms persist

While using this product, tell your doctor or phamracist if you do not feel well while taking Pariet 10, and keep to recommended dose.
If an overdose is taken or suspected telephone your doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26) or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: 10 mg rabeprazole sodium
Inactive ingredients: mannitol, magnesium oxide, hydroxypropylcellulose, magnesium stearate, ethylcellulose, hypromellose phthalate, diacetylated monoglycerides, purified talc, titanium dioxide and carnauba wax, red iron oxide CI77491 and printed with gray ink (Edible Ink Gray F6).
