General Product Description
Made from purified pharmacological capsaicin, which is an active component of chilli, Zostrix is a topical analgesic cream that blocks the pain signal, unlike other products that simply mask it. Zostrix is clinically proven to provide temporary but effective supplementary pain relief associated with arthritis and pain following shingles. Additionally, Zostrix HP is for the treatment of medically diagnosed, painful, diabetic neuropathy or post-herpetic neuralgia.
Zostrix targets the primary source of nerve pain. It blocks the primary neurotransmitter of nerve pain, known as substance P. With continued use, Zostrix accumulates at the site of application in order to deplete substance P, which results in relief of nerve pain within 4-6 weeks.

Apply a small bead of cream to the affected area. Apply regularly, 3-4 times a day, Use as long as is required.

Warnings
Always read and follow the directions for use. Zostrix is not a heat rub.
Do not apply when shingles are active. Do not apply cream to cracked/broken skin, just before or after a hot bath/shower. Avoid washing the area of application within 30 minutes, unless treating hands, in which case wash hands thoroughly with soap and water Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Follow the directions of use.
Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if rash or irritation occurs. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare professional.
