General Product Description

The pleasant orange flavour Hydralyte tablets are suitable for the entire family and are perfect to take on travels and trips to help manage dehydration to due hot environments, fever or strenuous exercise. Hydralyte should be taken as soon as you experience signs of fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhoea to revitalise your body. The tablets can also be taken to help restore fluids as a result of the diuretic effects of alcohol.

Directions for Use

1. Remove 2 tablets from tube and replace the cap tightly. Dissolve in 200mL of fresh, cold drinking water. For babies under 6 months use freshly boiled and cooled water.
2. Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist.
3. Discard unused solution after 2 hours or 24 hours if refrigerated.
4. Do not mix Hydralyte with cordial, fruit juice, soft or sports drinks. Always dissolve in water.
5. Never place tablet directly into mouth. 2 tablets = 200mL

Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea:

• Under 12 months: In first 6 hours mix and give 2-4 tablets. Up to 10 tablets daily
• Under 1-3 years: In first 6 hours mix and give 4-6 tablets. Up to 14 tablets daily
• Under 3-6 years: In first 6 hours mix and give 6-8 tablets. Up to 20 tablets daily
• Under 6-12 years: In first 6 hours mix and give 8-14 tablets. Up to 26 tablets daily
• Under 12 - Adult: In first 6 hours mix and take 12-20 tablets. Up to 40 tablets daily 

For dehydration due to other causes: Drink Hydralyte when thirsty or exhibiting signs of dehydration.

Always read and follow the directions for use If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare practitioner.

Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than: - 6 hours in infants under 6 months. - 12 hours in children under 3 years. - 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years. - 48 hours in children over 6 years & adults. Contains 156mg of potassium per 200mL dose. If you have kidney disease or are taking heart or blood pressure medicines, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. Keep out of reach of children. Contains 276 mg of sodium per 200 mL dose. Quantity of sodium per maximum daily dose is 5.52 g.
