Megafol 5mg Tablets provide folic acid 5mg per tablet to aid in the treatment of anaemia due to folate deficiency and for the prevention of folate deficiency during pregnancy, subsequently aiding prevention of neural tube defects in the foetus.
Megafol folic acid 5mg tablets are also indicated for the prevention of folate deficiency in patients undergoing chronic haemolysis and renal dialysis, and to reduce the risk of toxicity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis being treated with methotrexate. This higher-strength 5mg folic acid tablet is available at Blooms the Chemist for those requiring supplementation beyond standard doses.
