Directions for Use

As the second step in your three-step acne treatment routine, only use Benzac AC Mild Strength 2.5% Acne Gel on affected areas. Make sure you wash with a cleanser first, before patting your skin dry. Next, apply a thin film of gel – just once a day – and leave it for two hours. Wash off well with water and pat dry, before applying a light moisturiser. If, after three days, you’ve felt no discomfort, apply in the evening and leave overnight before washing off. After seven days, if there’s no redness or peeling, and your condition has not improved, use twice daily, morning and night. If you’re not happy with the results, try a stronger gel (Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Gel). If your condition has not improved after one month, consult your Health Professional.

Always read and follow the directions for use.

If excessive swelling, irritation, redness or peeling occurs, discontinue use. If it persists, consult your doctor.

Do not use BENZAC AC Gel if:

1. you have an allergy to benzoyl peroxide or any ingredients listed.

2. the package is torn or shows signs of tampering.

3. the expiry date (EXP) printed on the pack has passed.

4. you are pregnant or breastfeeding or intend to become pregnant or breastfeed. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

If you are not sure if you should start using BENZAC AC, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. BENZAC AC contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation.

Things to avoid: Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, angles of the nose and sensitive areas of the neck. If accidental contact should occur, rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Contact may cause irritation. BENZAC AC should not be applied to damaged skin. Do not use BENZAC AC with any other acne products that are used on the skin unless your doctor or pharmacist has told you that you can, as this may cause your skin to become red and sore. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or other sources of ultra-violet light.
